Jay's Baker's Dozen

Our Story

It all began with Josephine. Known to family and friends as Jay, an incredible gardener, bowler, cook and baker - mother to THIRTEEN, grandmother and great-grandmother to dozens. Whether it was a PTA event, spaghetti supper, Christmas Bazaar or a holiday celebration, she had a special treat that we looked forward to all year. The most famous one, her gingerbread.

Three daughters, Rose, Sandy and Marian, and granddaughter, Vanessa have always kept her traditions alive, but when New Jersey legalized cottage-food businesses in 2021, we knew we had to share her with the world. That’s when Jay’s Baker’s Dozen was born - making delicious, homemade baked goods with the finest ingredients and love, the way we were taught!
